Venue Manager
ABOUT US Mundaring Arts Centre Inc. (MAC Inc.) is an independently run, not-for profit arts organisation that nurtures arts-makers and enriches the community through exciting and accessible cultural experiences across two venues – the Mundaring Arts Centre and Midland Junction Arts Centre, situated in (east metro) Perth, Western Australia.

THE ROLE We are seeking a dynamic and highly organised Venue Manager to join our team.
This is a multi-faceted role that combines facility management, venue operations, space activation and stakeholder liaison. It is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter to take on a key leadership role within a small, dedicated team.
The Venue Manager works with the Executive Directors to oversee operations for MAC Inc. venues and is responsible for day-today management of the Midland Junction Arts Centre. Working closely with the Artistic Program Manager and Bookings Officer, you will ensure all creative spaces are used to their full potential in alignment with MAC Inc.’s strategic objectives.
What you’ll be doing
• Oversee facility management, presentation and maintenance requirements
• Oversee the coordination of venue hire and execution of events, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Ensure the venues are safe, and compliant with relevant regulations and policies
• Provide leadership and support to the venue’s team, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment
What we’re looking for A committed team leader with
• Substantial experience in venue or event management, preferably within the arts and cultural sector
• A demonstrated ability to effectively manage operations, budgets, and teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the capacity to work under pressure
• A passion for the arts and a commitment to supporting and promoting the local arts community
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field, such as arts, venue or events management
This is a 12-month contract with a view to extend and/or offer a permanent contract as the organisation enters a new season of impact, building on its strong foundation.

SELECTION CRITERIA

A current WA Drivers licence and the ability to travel independently is required for movement between the two venues. *MAC Inc. is open 6 days a week and roles often require weekend and after hour availability.
