Textile and Print designer
We are seeking an aspiring Junior or technically skilled Senior Textile & Print Designer to join a highly regarded and well known client known for creating cutting-edge textile patterns for the fashion industry. This client works with a wide range of global brands and retailers, producing distinctive fabric designs.
Aspiring designers will benefit from hands-on coaching and access to educational resources, including tutorials and courses, aimed at enhancing their skills in surface pattern design while learning from industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and develop new print artwork.
- Complete templates for samples and production, ensuring the originality of designs in collaboration with pattern makers.
- Oversee IP documentation, contribute to a positive team culture, participate in seasonal handovers, and maintain an organised design studio.
- Create patterns, including florals, geometric shapes, abstract motifs, and tropical-inspired designs, with a strong emphasis on color and detail.
- Combine traditional hand-painted techniques with modern digital processes to produce original and innovative designs.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Textile and/or Fashion Design.
- Strong knowledge of current design trends, industry advancements, and new textile processes.
- The ability to showcase a unique creative vision through color, texture, and pattern.
- Advanced proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
