Showroom Manager, Double Bass and Cello Makers
A position in instrument sales and service provides the opportunity to work amongst what you love – music, musicians and fine musical Instruments. Here’s a rare chance to work as part of a small friendly and professional service-oriented team, offering exceptional service to the musicians both local, national and international.
Established 1995, this workshop has made a name for itself as the premier Double Bass and Cello workshop in Australia.
Duties to be performed by the Showroom Manager are summarized as follows:
- Sales of String instruments and accessories.
- Customer Services inc. logging in repairs and returning to the client.
- Bookings of instruments to be hired for students’ events and festivals.
- Ordering stock. E-Commerce and web site maintained.
- Future promotions and marketing.
- Data entry and invoicing.
- Showroom maintenance.
These hours would suit a musician, student or working parent. Hours of the showroom are 9am to 5pm Thursday to Friday. Rostered Wednesday and some Saturday morning shifts are available and may be required. Approx. 16 to 24 hrs per week. With some flexibility of the hours available. The successful candidate should have previous experience in administration and retail sales, however full training provided. Mature approach and for a multi-skilled reliable person who relate well with customers and staff. Ability to play a string will be an advantage, particularly double bass or cello. Some level of music examination or university study is preferred.
