Our ‘Design + Strategy’ division includes a close-knit team of Landscape Architects, Urban Designers and Urban Planners working together to create places where people want to live and play, and communities that people are proud of.

We are looking for a Senior Urban Designer to join our team of passionate professionals. We have a strong future workload providing you with the opportunity to work on an exciting range of projects from large greenfield master plans and visions to strategic plans. Our projects extend across Australia with both public-sector and private clients, covering residential, commercial, industrial, mix use developments and civil infrastructure projects.

Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you’ll collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, town planners, landscape architects, and surveyors, providing you with a holistic perspective on project outcomes and the ability to shape projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with stakeholders, including local councils, developers, and external consultants to ensure project alignment with the client vision and regulatory requirements.
• Create innovative, sustainable and commercial minded, master plans, Vision documents, Feasibility plans, Plans for planning permit and development applications, for greenfield residential and large infill sites.
• Oversee the design process for development projects from initiation to completion.
• Support junior designers, cultivating a collaborative and creative work environment.
• Work together with our multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated design solutions.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualification in Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning or similar.
• In-depth understanding of urban design theory, principles, and practice.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working on urban design projects or similar projects.
• Extensive knowledge of the Victoria planning system and Precinct Structure Plans process.
• Proficiency in Autocad, Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, SketchUp, and GIS
• Exceptional organisational skills and the capacity to manage competing priorities.
• Collaborative approach to working within a multidisciplinary team.
• A keen eye for detail and a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
