About the Role
As Senior Producer, you will be a vital part of our leadership team, working closely with the Artistic Director and Executive Director to develop, plan, and execute our annual season of plays and ancillary programs. You will foster strategic partnerships, oversee production budgets and timelines, and ensure seamless collaboration across departments. Your work will help grow our national profile, increase touring opportunities, and enhance engagement with artists, stakeholders, and audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of the Artistic program.
- Develop and maintain relationships with artists, venues, festivals, and funding bodies.
- Identify and secure funding opportunities.
- Oversee contracts, budgets, and financial planning for productions.
- Implement a regional and national touring strategy.
- Support education and audience engagement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices.
- Represent State Theatre Company SA at industry events and forums.
About You
- Minimum 3 years experience in a producing role within the arts or creative industries.
- Strong understanding of theatre production processes and industry standards.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, budgets, and stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent organisational, administrative, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for theatre and a commitment to supporting artists and audiences.
