About the opportunity 

Join the Cardinia Cultural Centre (CCC) as a Senior Curation and Programming Officer and lead the strategic programming and curation of our theatre and gallery, ensuring its success as a vibrant cultural hub.  This role offers a unique opportunity to balance commercial objectives with community engagement, fostering artistic growth and inclusivity.

You will make an impact by 
  • Developing and implementing a diverse and engaging program of events, performances, exhibitions, and activities.
  • Overseeing the delivery of public art projects and arts, events, and festivals grants.
  • Driving business development initiatives to attract investment and increase revenue.
  • Fostering relationships with local artists, community groups, and cultural organisations.
  • Identifying and pursuing new commercial opportunities, including partnerships and sponsorships.

What you will bring

  • Experience in strategic programming and curation within the arts sector.
  • Management of budgets associated with a performing arts centre, including financial planning, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring cost-effective programming and operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in arts management, Business Administration or other relevant qualification, or through substantial relevant experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in theatre programming, event management or a similar role.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with artists, community groups, and stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to identify emerging trends in the arts and cultural sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in business development, including securing sponsorships and partnerships.
  • Strong background in community engagement and working with diverse communities.
