About the role

The Regional Exhibitions Officer plays a key role in delivering a dynamic exhibitions program as part of the Creative Communities team. This role oversees the coordination and execution of exhibition programs, installations, and partnership projects across venues such as Memorial Hall in Healesville, Arts Centre Warburton, and Civic Centre Lilydale.

Responsibilities include managing the Exhibitions & Creative Pathways Program (ECPP), overseeing an EOI process to select exhibitors, mentoring and supporting all artists selected to participate in the ECPP, and ensuring the effective planning, curation, and professional installation of exhibitions.

Additionally, the Officer coordinates promotional efforts, preparing content for websites, social media, and marketing campaigns to enhance audience engagement.

This is a temporary part-time position until June 2026, 4 days per week, with an hourly rate between $39.54 and $43.94 per hour.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate and deliver Council’s Exhibitions & Creative Pathways Program (ECPP), including managing the Expression of Interest (EOI) process. 
  • Facilitate the effective planning, delivery, and promotion of exhibitions, displays, and associated programs in collaboration with the Creative Communities team. 
  • Provide curatorial support as required and ensure professional installation of exhibitions at various venues to achieve high-quality exhibition outcomes. 
  • Coordinate requirements for exhibition promotions, including preparing content for social media and other promotional and marketing campaigns. 

Experience and skills we’re looking for:

  • Experience in coordinating exhibitions and arts engagement programs. 
  • Strong organisational and project management skills. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. 
  • Proficiency in curatorial practices and exhibition installation. 
  • Experience in social media and marketing content creation.
