Production Design Lecturer

About the Role

• Deliver lectures and practical workshops in foundational concepts in screen and theatre production design, including the roles and responsibilities of a production designer, collaborative processes, and the physical elements of production.
• Equip students with hands-on skills in set and prop design and making.
• Mentor students in Excelsia University College productions.

Selection Criteria

Qualifications and Professional Standing:

• A degree in Production Design, Theatre Arts, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
• Industry experience in theatre or screen production design.
• Previous experience in teaching at a tertiary or vocational level is highly desirable.

Desirable Criteria:

• Proficiency in relevant design software such as Adobe Creative Suite or CAD programs.
• A sound knowledge of surface techniques and scenic art for theatre productions.
• Familiarity with script analysis and storyboarding for production design.
• Experience working on both live theatre productions and screen projects.
