Production Assistant (Fashion)

We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Buying Assistant to join our team and support our Senior Buyers.

Each member of the Buying team plays a major role in the smooth functioning of Adorne.  They are responsible for Adorne’s positioning in the fashion and accessories market through research and analysis of fashion trends and sales data. The Buying Assistant will assist and support the senior buyers to develop and buy Adorne products and manage stock holdings

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the buying team with ordering, re-ordering and developing clothing and accessory products
• Create and import new purchase orders, with descriptions, barcodes, pricing, etc
• Actively liaise with overseas suppliers, following up on samples, materials, and pricing; updating vendor summary information
• Working with the clothing buyers to develop new trends
• Managing the set up and communication of all clothing samples
• Managing the sourcing of all fabrics, both stock and developed
• Assist with new trend/colour/product development including bringing ideas for discussion with the team
• Contributing style, shape, and colour ideas for clothing

Position Requirements

• 1+ years experience in a similar role
• Experience using Style Arcade or a similar planning tool is an advantage
• Strong excel skills, and knowledge of the rest of the Microsoft Office suite
• An understanding of fashion trends and the ability to share this knowledge
• Demonstrated time management and problem-solving skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail with all administrative processes
• Excellent communication skills
• The ideal candidate will also have the capacity to assist on overseas buying trips
