ABOUT THE POSITION (Remote work) (Specifically for Designer) :
- We’re looking for a Product Design Engineer / Industrial Designer / Mechanical Engineer / Graphic Design Freelancer Intern.
- Our host company offers meaningful work experience, strong supervision, supportive work environment, and is planning to offer permanent employment for the suitable candidate.
ABOUT YOU:
You Must
- be studying a relevant degree qualification or a recent graduate/skilled migrant.
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
- have the necessary technical and soft skills to perform the job.
- be committed to a career in your field of study.
- be able to work at least 3 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects at the same time and always meet deadlines
- Undertake regular promotional activity to generate new leads and spread DCD brand awareness
- Ensure our designs meet manufacturing, technical and client requirements
- Communicate and collaborate with team members, clients and suppliers
- Ensure that all design projects are completed within budget and time
- Maintain and develop administration documents and team support assets
- Be willing to learn and apply your learnings, as well as share knowledge
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Product Design Engineering or similar Engineering / Design degree
- 3D CAD Modelling and Rendering skills – Proficient in SolidWorks and KeyShot is preferable
- Graphic Design skills are a big bonus – using Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Strong organisational, communication and analytical skills
- Must have relevant industry experience within design or engineering fields
Successful candidates must be able to show examples of their work (Portfolio)
Learning Outcomes
You could be provided work experience in the following areas:
- designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety and reliability;
- developing, testing and evaluating theoretical designs;
- managing projects using engineering principles and techniques;
- planning and designing new production processes;
- producing details of specifications and outline designs;
- recommending modifications following prototype test results;
- using research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly mathematical modeling and computer-aided design;
- considering the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints;
- working with other professionals, within and outside the engineering sector;
- monitoring and commissioning plant and systems.

The company is located at Melbourne.
