ABOUT BUNDANON

Bundanon is an art museum embedded in a 1,000 hectare landscape, in the Shoalhaven region of NSW. The organisation’s mission is to operate the Bundanon properties as a centre for creative arts and education, to support the development of arts practice across all disciplines and to enable public access to the arts and to the landscape. Bundanon’s vision is to promote creativity and learning based in a unique cultural and natural landscape.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Philanthropy Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting our fundraising activities and donor relationships. This position is perfect for someone who’s organised, enjoys working with data, and is excited to collaborate with different teams. You’ll be involved in a variety of tasks, from maintaining our donor database, to supporting on the development and delivery of events through to helping create specialised communications. No two days will be the same, and you’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop your skills and contribute to our mission.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Support Philanthropic Operations: Manage our donor database, keep records up-to-date, and help with donor communications.
  • Assist with Events: Provide support for donor and patron events, both at Bundanon and other locations.
  • Engage with Our Donors: Develop and share tailored communications that inspire and inform our donors and patrons about Bundanon’s initiatives.
  • Support Donor Development: Work closely with the Head of Development to identify and support new donor opportunities and assist in the stewardship of these special relationships.
  • Collaborate and Learn: Work with various teams to develop documents, funding applications and proposals that attract funding and support.
  • Manage Projects: Collaborate across the organisation, to help develop, track and report on projects, ensuring deliverables meet expectations.

 

ABOUT YOU

 

We’re looking for someone who’s eager to learn and grow in a fundraising, administrative or business career. If you have strong communication or marketing skills, enjoy working with data or supporting on project development, and are interested in arts and education, this could be the perfect role for you.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Essential

  • A tertiary qualification in the arts, business, administration, communications, events, or related fields—or relevant experience in a fundraising or similar role.
  • Good written and research skills, with attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and a CRM system.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, professional approach to building relationships.
  • An interest in the arts and a desire to learn more about fundraising and donor engagement.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with fundraising or philanthropic activities.
  • Experience with digital design in Adobe software.
