Are you a passionate and experienced operations leader looking to make a meaningful impact in the arts? The Pavilion Performing Arts Centre Sutherland Ltd is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our two vibrant venues. If you have a background in live events, venue management, and a passion for delivering exceptional service, this is your opportunity to lead and innovate in a dynamic, creative environment.

As a key player in the Sutherland Shire arts community, The Pavilion hosts over 300 events each year, welcoming more than 80,000 visitors. We are a not-for-profit organisation committed to fostering cultural growth through the performing arts, and we’re looking for someone to drive operational excellence, streamline processes, and enhance the experience for our venue users.In this role, you’ll lead the operations teams across multiple departments including event management, front of house, and cleaning. You’ll play a central role in maintaining the smooth running of our venues, managing service suppliers, and ensuring compliance with safety and event protocols.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leading venue services operations, from ticketing to customer service
- Managing supplier relationships and venue systems
- Driving continuous process improvements across the business
- Acting as Chief Warden and First Aider, ensuring a safe environment for all
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve operational success
What We’re Looking For:
You’ll bring a wealth of industry experience, particularly in the performing arts or live entertainment space. You’ll also have strong leadership skills and the ability to navigate complex operations with ease. If you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and have a passion for delivering excellent service, we want to hear from you.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in venue operations, hospitality, or live events
- Strong management and leadership capabilities
- Solid understanding of safety and compliance requirements
- Certifications in First Aid, CPR, Working With Children Clearance, and Responsible Service of Alcohol
