Non-Executive Director - Treasurer (Voluntary Position)

The Australian Graphic Design Association Limited (AGDA) is seeking a suitably qualified person to join our National Board of Directors as Treasurer.

This position is for a minimum, two year term commencing immediately. In addition to significant accounting experience, the Board is seeking someone with knowledge of the not-for-profit sector who possess skills gained working at management level. 

The successful appointee will have the ability to understand and interpret company financial statements, including P&Ls with a strong comprehension of what drives business performance, financial reporting and organisational culture.

AGDA is the peak professional organisation representing the Australian communication design industry. AGDA operates nationally, has over 2,000 members distributed throughout the creative, visual communications, applied design and technology sectors, and is dedicated to advancing the profession through an interrelated program of state, national and international activities in education, advocacy and professional development.

Candidates must:

• Become a professional level AGDA member
• Have previous Board experience and/or Certificate of Board Directorship qualification
• Display a passion for setting agendas and strategy for Australia’s peak body representing Communication Designers
• See this appointment as an opportunity for leadership, voice, and to shape our industry
• Commit to monthly Board meetings via Zoom for no more than 2 hours, and provide expertise on an ongoing basis
