Arts and Disability Network Australia (ADNA) is looking for a visionary National Director to drive systemic change, build national connectivity, and champion disability leadership in the arts. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of access, inclusion, and advocacy for d/Deaf and disabled artists, arts workers, and cultural organisations across Australia.
About the Role
The National Director will:
- Grow sector engagement by strengthening networks, building partnerships, and enhancing collaboration across the arts and disability sectors.
- Develop and distribute resources to empower d/Deaf and disabled artists, arts workers, and organisations—including toolkits, access guides, and digital content.
- Foster practitioner connections through national events, networking opportunities, and industry programs.
- Advocate for systemic change by influencing policy, leading sector-wide consultations, and engaging with government representatives.
- Promote disability arts by amplifying the work of d/Deaf and disabled artists through new and existing platforms.
- Manage and lead the ADNA consortium’s operations, governance, and strategic initiatives.
This role is employed by Access2Arts on behalf of the ADNA consortium, which includes leading arts and disability organisations across Australia.
About You
We’re looking for a leader with:
- Lived experience of disability (essential).
- Experience in the arts sector, with a strong understanding of access and inclusion principles.
- Proven advocacy skills, with the ability to influence policy and drive systemic change.
- Outstanding relationship-building and negotiation abilities to connect with artists, organisations, and policymakers.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and deliver impactful solutions.
- A commitment to diversity, disability leadership, and social impact.
