The Association of Artist Managers (AAM) is Australia’s peak body that protects, promotes and develops music managers through advocacy, shared knowledge, networking, resources and professional development. Our membership comprises 400+ Australian artist managers working globally. Managers support their artists. We support the managers.

Our vision is to ensure Australian artist managers have a collective voice, are connected as a community, are better equipped to face challenges, and are recognised as valued core drivers of the music industry who are crucial to the success of current and future Australian artists.

About The Role

You will oversee AAM membership processes and provide administrative support to ensure a positive experience for members and key stakeholders, to expand membership numbers and to elevate AAM’s profile.

You’ll work closely with the Professional Development and Engagement Manager. As the AAM team work remotely from their respective cities, you will be required to ensure all objectives and key accountabilities are met in an independent work environment with minimal supervision, whilst maintaining regular communication with the team via virtual channels. 

This role requires someone who can independently self-navigate and self-educate themselves on how to better understand and utilise programs used in the management of the organisation, creating improved workflows and processes.

Duties include:

  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date membership data
  • Coordinate administrative activities relating to all aspects of membership management and events
  • Provide exceptional customer service and demonstrate patience to members 
  • Create, send and optimise email and social media campaigns, including the AAM members monthly newsletter
  • Contribute to the team and organisation through ideas, passion and a growth mindset
  • Provide general clerical and administrative support to other staff as and when required

About You

  • Organised and enthusiastic with a positive can-do attitude
  • You pride yourself on doing great work and demonstrate a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement
  • Understanding of the Australian music industry, including the role of artist managers and peak bodies, and how they contribute to the broader industry landscape.
  • Excellent communication and administration skills
  • Demonstrated experience using social media platforms in a professional capacity, with an understanding of digital communication strategies and audience engagement.
  • You want to be valued and respected as part of a team and you get fulfillment supporting others
  • Proficiency with computers, especially with CRM software (Wild Apricot, HubSpot, Salesforce etc), and have strong typing skills (50+ wpm)
  • Intermediate knowledge using Gmail, Google Drive, Microsoft Office, Canva, Squarespace, Survey Monkey, Mailchimp
  • You’re not afraid to ask questions, seek clarity or support if you’re unsure about a task
  • Willing and able to travel interstate as required
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Certificate IV in Business Administration or similar (desirable)
