Are you passionate about gender equality and cultural change? Do you have a knack for creating engaging marketing campaigns, building audiences and organizing memorable events. Join Of One Mind, a Brisbane-based cultural enterprise dedicated to promoting gender equality and addressing important social issues through cultural festivals and year-round activities.

As our Marketing and Events Coordinator, you’ll develop marketing strategies, help plan and execute events like WOW Festivals, and build relationships with community and corporate partners. If you have 2-3 years of experience in marketing and event planning, we’d love to hear from you!

About Us:  Of One Mind is a non profit cultural enterprise formed by Cathy Hunt AM and Leigh Tabrett PSM in 2014 to develop and support creative and cultural activities addressing pressing social issues. Our primary focus is on promoting gender equality, as we believe it is key to solving many of the world’s challenges and improving life for everyone—women, girls, men, boys and non-binary folk. We work in partnership with the global WOW Foundation to deliver WOW Festivals and activities in Australia across an annual program consisting of regional and city based festivals, specific events for example the WOW School’s Day for the International Day of the Girl at QPAC, performances, exhibitions and other creative commissions.

Job Summary:

As the Marketing and Events Coordinator, you will play a key role in driving the marketing and communication goals of the organisation, in addition to assisting in the planning, coordinating, and promoting our festivals and cultural activities. You will develop and execute marketing strategies, manage promotional events from inception to completion, and engage with the community to build strong relationships with partners and sponsors. Your work will directly contribute to Of One Mind’s mission of promoting gender equality and creating lasting cultural and social change.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our annual program of events, festivals, and digital content.
• Plan and promote cultural events and festivals.
• Manage social media and design marketing materials.
• Coordinate event logistics and engage with community partners.
• Work closely with a small, dynamic team to achieve impactful outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Event Management, Communications or a related field.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with CRM software and event management tools is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Passion for gender equality, social justice, the arts and cultural change.
