- Total package from $162,481 to $195,615 pa incl. super and vehicle allowance + plus phone, 35 hours per week

What You’ll Be Working On
This role will see you operate as the Director of the Mosman Art Gallery where you will oversee the Gallery as a key regional cultural institution where you will continue to nurture the widely renowned Mosman Art Prize.
You will lead, inspire and manage the Cultural Services team to use innovative practices to achieve artistic and community outcomes as guided by Council’s Community Strategic Plan, MOSPLAN.
Your day to day responsibilities will see you managing and overseeing risk, budget, resources, facilities, curatorial and programming decisions including marketing and promotion. You’ll ensure optimum income generation from a mix of sources including government grants, private giving, sponsorships, venue hire, sales and in-kind support.
You will also be involved in cultural planning and policy development and overseeing overall service delivery.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
To be successful in this role you will have relevant tertiary qualifications in fine arts, arts management or equivalent and at least 5 years operating in a similar role at a senior level.
You will be skilled in the ability to think and plan strategically, with demonstrated experience in successfully translating plans into action and getting high quality results for local communities.
You will have ample project management skills, and experience in corporate governance, budgeting and risk management.
You will be an inspiring leader with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills coupled with exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and experience in leading and facilitating collaborative and consultative processes.
In addition to the above, you will also hold a valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (or willingness to obtain).
