Our story is all about custom-made jewellery, designed and delivered by amazing people who care.
The opportunity:
With studios in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, Larsen Jewellery is a premier destination for custom-made fine jewellery in Australia. Behind every piece and every memory we create, is a team of 30 talented, kind people who genuinely love what they do. As a Jewellery CAD Designer, you’ll be right at the heart of our team and our impact.
What are we looking for:
An in-house CAD designer, with experience in drawing CAD for a jeweller, to join our team in Melbourne (Sydney or Brisbane also considered).
The role will primarily involve working with our jewellers/designers to model jewellery to their designs and specifications. This includes photo-realistic rendering for client visualization where required, and accurate output modelling for 3D printing. This role will appeal to a CAD drawer who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast paced environment creating high quality jewellery models.
Key requirements:
- Must have previous experience drawing CAD for fine jewellery
- Ability to model within Matrix/Rhino to a high standard of quality, accuracy, and attention to detail with a keen eye for aesthetics and design sense.
- Ability to set up and render models to a high degree of realism.
- As you will be dealing directly with our jewellers and designers, good communication skills are essential along with the ability to accept and implement critique and changes.
- You will be modelling for each of our 3 stores, so excellent organizational skills and a strong work ethic are a must.
- A background in jewellery manufacture, either hand-making or assembling jewellery.
- You will also be responsible for organizing and running our current CAD database, so excellent computer skills in MS Outlook, Excel, Photoshop, and Trello.
- Experience in rapid prototyping is preferable, but not essential.
Prefer contracting or part-time? We’re open to both, so let’s explore this together and figure out what works best for you.
