Industrial Designer

The industry is getting busier and today Crowd Culture is looking for an Industrial Designer & Estimator to join our ever-growing team!

Established in 2017, with offices in Melbourne and the Gold Coast, Crowd Culture is an experiential Brand Activation Agency that likes to pack a lot of ‘punch’ into everything we do.

The Industrial Designer & Estimator is an integral position in the company, by taking on this role you will be responsible for the initial creative concepts developed for our clients, whilst working closely with the team to ensure they can deliver on your creative vision. This will include, but is not limited to:

 

  • Analysing project specifications to create detailed design proposals
  • Working in consultation with clients and stakeholders to ensure design feasibility
  • Preparing and delivering design proposals for clients and stakeholders
  • Revising designs based on feedback and changing requirements
  • Designing concepts that meet Australian legal, OH&S and environmental standards
  • Liaising with clients and team members to ensure clear communication and understanding of design objectives and deliverables
  • Providing technical support and guidance
  • Providing reports as required
  • Creating detailed cost estimates using specialised software
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to source material and services within the budget
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines
  • Maintaining industry knowledge and staying up to date with the latest trends, technologies and best practices

To be successful in your application, you must

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design or related experience
  • Demonstrated 5+ years of experience in project design and cost estimation
  • Minimum 3 years of Brand Activation experience including events, exhibitions and pop-up stores (or similar industry experience)
  • Strong proficiency in design and estimation software tools including Photoshop, Illustrator InDesign and Sketchup
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
