The Graphic Designer is responsible for developing exciting packaging and promotional materials for the Mint’s collector coins and corporate activities. They provide knowledge and expertise to support all matters of design across the Mint, including advertising, promotional materials, point-of-sale, exhibition graphics and various reports. They work with stakeholders through the conceptual and design phases to create and deliver quality and creative solutions.
The Graphic Designer ensures their work complies with relevant legislation, including copyright laws and the Mint’s style guides, and that their designs support the promotion of the Mint’s brand.
The duties of this position include:
1. Developing packaging and promotional materials for the Mint’s collector coins and corporate activities. 2. Interpreting design briefs, supporting concept development and managing expectations on timeframes and budgets. 3. Creating and presenting designs for print production through Adobe Creative Suite. 4. Collaborating and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders. 5. Liaising with printers to provide print specifications, and checking printers’ proofs. 6. Contributing to continuous improvement, including remaining up to date with industry trends, and identifying and implementing new ways of working. 7. Maintaining records and designs in accordance with the Mint’s Records Management Policy. 8. Ensuring all design work conforms to relevant legislation and style guides, and supports the Mint’s brand.
Security clearance This position requires a Baseline security clearance. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
