Bundanon is seeking a Graphic Designer to join our Marketing and Communications team on a 12-month fixed term contract (maximum term). This role shapes how audiences experience Bundanon – designing visual content across digital and print platform that reflects our identity and mission. You will be part of a small, passionate team that works across the full scope of Bundanon’s programs—from exhibitions and learning to live programs and performances.
ABOUT BUNDANON
Bundanon is an art museum embedded in a 1,000-hectare landscape in the Shoalhaven region of NSW. The organisation’s mission is to operate the Bundanon properties as a centre for creative arts and education, to support the development of arts practice across all disciplines, and to enable public access to the arts and to the landscape. Bundanon’s vision is to promote creativity and learning based in a unique cultural and natural setting.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Graphic Designer is integral to visually expressing our mission, vision and strategic initiatives. It is the creative core of the Marketing & Communications team, responsible for shaping and elevating Bundanon’s visual identity. Producing compelling designs across a range of channels, facilitating effective communication and resonating with our wide audience base, the Graphic Designer plays a key role in advancing Bundanon’s communication endeavours and reinforcing its brand identity.
WHAT YOU WILL DO …
- Design & Deliver Visual Content: Produce print & digital materials for exhibitions, programs, events, and internal communications – including social media assets, catalogues, presentations & signage.
- Maintain Brand Consistency: Apply Bundanon’s visual identity across all platforms, ensuring clarity, cohesion, and accessibility in every design output.
- Manage Projects and Workflows: Handle multiple design projects at once, from brief to delivery, ensuring timelines are met and assets are proofed, accurate, and ready for use
- Collaborate and Support Teams: Work closely with relevant stakeholders, respond to feedback, and contribute to a collaborative and organised creative environment.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR…
Essential
- Demonstrated experience in graphic design, preferably in a cultural or museums context, creating assets across both print and digital platforms for businesses, brands, or organisations.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with experience designing for both digital and print platforms while maintaining strong layout, typography, and brand identity principles.
- Ability to develop creative and engaging designs that align with brand guidelines and effectively communicate key messages.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple design projects, prioritise workloads, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with internal teams and external suppliers, incorporating feedback, and effectively translating design briefs into creative outputs.
Desirable
- Interest or experience in the arts, culture, or creative industries.
- Any experience in motion graphics, including animation, typography, and video editing, to create engaging visual content.
