Graphic Designer

The Carlton Football Club is one of Australia’s oldest and most prominent sport institutions. Founded in 1864, the Club headquarters and training facilities are located in Carlton at IKON Park, our traditional home ground. About the Role

This position is a 12-month fixed-term contract (due to parental leave) that involves working with the Club’s Creative Manager and the in-house digital, media and creative team. The successful applicant will be responsible for helping plan, design and assist in creating visual assets to represent and connect with the Carlton community – over 100,000 dedicated members and more than 750,000 passionate supporters. The successful candidate will predominantly service the Club’s commercial and consumer business initiatives including partnerships, event collateral, Carlton IN Business, merchandise and membership campaigns as well as providing support when required for our football related content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direction from the Creative Manager to design artwork and graphic collateral
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and departments to support with design outputs
  • Build brochures, corporate reports, EDMs and presentations in a quick turnaround
  • Collaborate with the creative team to create and develop unique concepts
  • Digital graphics for official club website and social media
  • Graphic design for both digital and print, flyers, posters, brochures, invitations, signage and event display
  • Regular photo editing, contouring and image retouching
  • EDM designs, from club news to official merchandise
  • High-end visual presentations

Technical attributes and knowledge

  • Expert knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Proven studio environment experience
  • Interest in the development of technology and digital platforms
  • A passion for digital design, typography and photography

Qualifications and education
