About the role

Laing O’Rourke has recently been appointed as Managing Contractor for the Initial Works and Early Works package of Suburban Rail Loop; the huge package of works includes preparing sites for the launch of tunnel boring machines, moving and protecting underground services, ground improvement, geotechnical investigations and roads modifications for this city-shaping project.

We are currently seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to join the iconic Suburban Rail Loop project. This role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.

Key responsibilities

  • Create engaging, informative and innovative content that delivers maximum reach for internal and external facing strategies.
  • Develop a range of graphic design materials and templates as to brand styleguide as required, including but not limited to: newsletters, posters, signage, PowerPoint presentations, maps, organisational charts, social media and promotional materials.
  • Support and manage agreed content approvals processes for all communications collateral produced.
  • Support production, publication and distribution requirements for a range of communication materials
  • Provide ad hoc photography and video support across the project area.
  • Contribute to the development of internal communication initiatives and events.

About you

  • Relevant qualifications in Design
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks from creative concept to final production under tight deadlines
  • Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat and Premiere Pro. (After Effects is desirable)
  • Ideally you will have experience in photography, video and editing
  • Basecamp experience will be viewed favourably
  • You will be a confident, effective and engaging individual who can work both independently and collaboratively within the typically fast-paced project environment.
