About the opportunity Sydney Executive Plus (SE+) is an initiative of the University of Sydney Business School focused on executive leadership and development. It aims to deliver lifelong learning in cutting edge and emerging areas of business, technology and society.

SE+ are looking for a Graphic Design Specialist to provide technical creative support to enable to development of creative assets across the area. The role enables the development of high-quality presentations, graphics, infographics, visualisations and social media content for outputs. The content created is featured publicly online, in curriculum, other external engagement and relations with alumni and prospective students.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • undertake graphic design using creative, conceptual and information design skills to produce high quality and innovative print and digital publications and digital assets and advertising for SE+
  • curate and develop content across a broad range of platforms and communications channels
  • collaborate with the Director(s) of SE+ to develop high-quality presentations and provide input into visual language of various SE+ initiatives
  • manage design projects and work collaboratively team staff during the design process to ensure design jobs are completed within agreed timeframes and meet requirements
  • collaborate with colleagues to support motion graphics design and execution for multimedia learning materials
  • provide specialist knowledge and guidance around the marketing and communications landscape, the University brand style guidelines, graphic design and publications trends.

About you

  • tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design and/or relative work experience
  • demonstrated expertise curating and developing content for social channels to meet defined objectives
  • ability to create illustrations, infographics, charts, report layouts and posters, social media assets
  • high level of competency of Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, Figma and Illustrator
  • experience as a professional graphic designer using creative, conceptual and information design skills to facilitate learning in educational materials and resources
  • extensive practical experience using non-linear editing platforms such as Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent, full Adobe suite, as well as motion graphics programs such as Adobe After Effects or equivalent, and strong knowledge and skills in post-production colour grading.
