Graduate Architect Position at Ink Duck

Ink Duck, nestled in Sherwood, Brisbane, is a ‘Tiny but Mighty’ architecture firm committed to crafting beautiful, functional designs that stick to the brief and budget. We’re a team that doesn’t take ourselves too seriously, but we’re serious about delivering top-notch work. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Graduate Architect to join our team.

The Role:

We’re on the hunt for a Graduate Architect with 3 to 5 years of experience who can bring fresh ideas and energy to our projects. In this role, you’ll have the chance to work across various stages of our architectural projects, contributing to the design and execution of education, residential and commercial projects. Key responsibilities include:

• Design and Documentation: Produce high-quality design deliverables using ArchiCAD, ensuring projects meet the client’s vision and budget.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with our senior architects, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Technical Detailing: Assist in construction detailing and documentation, ensuring all work aligns with industry standards and regulations.
• Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their needs and communicate project progress effectively.
• Administration: Assist with administration tasks and tenders where required.

Key Requirements:

• Experience: 3 to 5 years of post-graduate experience in architectural design.
• Proficiency in ArchiCAD: Must have hands-on experience and a strong proficiency in ArchiCAD for all project work.
• Creative and Detail-Oriented: A keen eye for design and the ability to produce exceptional documentation.
• Creative Suite and Rendering Skills: Familiarity with the Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator, will be advantageous. Experience with Lumion or advanced Twinmotion for rendering is a plus.
• InDesign: Proficient in InDesign is a definite plus.
• Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with the team and take initiative when needed.
• Adaptable: Willingness to handle various tasks and adapt to the demands of different projects.
