Job description:

The role

 

This role supports the Landscape Design Team, while developing skills in landscape architecture, designing, drafting and preparation of detailed documentation for projects such as parks, playgrounds, open spaces, sports fields, and soft landscaping for roads and infrastructure, as part of the Capital Works program.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

 

  • Becoming proficient in the use of the various landscape design software systems used by Council.
  • Carrying out and/or assisting with the investigation of site conditions in the preparation of design reports.
  • Undertaking the preparation of landscape design documentation for a variety of projects.
  • Undertaking and/or assisting with the preparation of construction cost estimates for projects.
  • Completing allocated tasks accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with current standards.
  • Ensuring a high standard of work that requires minimum amendments in the field.

You will have

 

  • Recently graduated with a Bachelor in Landscape Architecture or similar tertiary qualification.
  • Some work experience in the field of study or related field.

The salary range for this opportunity starts at $69,728 (Grade D, Step1) + 11.5% super. Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
