Gallery Manager

We are looking for a full time gallery manager to work alongside a well-established small team to run the day to day operations of a commercial art gallery.
Tasks include: liaising with clients and visitors to the gallery, artist management, project managing exhibitions, website updates, inventory management and data entry, social media management, basic book keeping, invoicing, artist statements, painting installation, art handling and dispatch.
Sophie Gannon Gallery opened in 2006 – we have had the same staff working here since inception almost 18 years ago.
We are a small, friendly, stable team who value hard work, respect for each other, for our clients and for our artists. We are looking for someone to join us and work alongside us – it is a small business so everyone pitches in wherever things are needed to be done. This job requires aptitude in computer based administration work, public facing interactions, and technical art handling.
Experience in the commercial art world or at a public art institution preferred – this is not an entry level position.
