Finance Officer

THE ROLE
We are seeking a reliable, experienced professional with exceptional attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be a keen collaborator and highly motivated.
The Finance Officer works with the Executive Director Business Operations (EDBO) to oversee MAC Inc’s dayto-day financial transactions and procedures – undertaking bookkeeping duties and providing administrative support to the Retail Manager and EDBO in alignment with MAC lnc’s strategic objectives.
What you’ll be doing
• Record and maintain accurate financial records in Reckon, including accounts payable and receivable
• Reconcile bank accounts, petty cash and daily takings
• Assist with administration, meeting minutes, customer data, budgets, financial and statistical reporting
• Monitor licence subscriptions and asset register
• Support shared front of house and office duties

• Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
• Demonstrated administrative experience
• Advanced MS Office 365 & Excel skills
• Knowledge of financial regulations
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Proven experience using relevant cloud-based software systems (Reckon/ Quickbooks)
• NFP experience (desirable)
• Payroll experience (desirable)
This is a 12-month contract with a view to extend and/or offer a permanent contract as the organisation enters a new season of impact, building on its strong foundation.

SELECTION CRITERIA
1. Relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience in bookkeeping
2. Evidence of experience and proficiency using cloud-based accounting software (Reckon/QuickBooks, POS Shopify and Office 365)
3. Proven high attention to detail and organisational skills
4. Demonstrated administrative experience
5. Commercial acumen: ability to execute decisions and apply knowledge in a practical manner for positive commercial / economic outcomes
6. Time Management & Organisation: superior ability to prioritise tasks and resources to accomplish objectives within given timeframe
7. Stakeholder Management: excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated experience in relationship management and networking; committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels – written, phone and face to face
8. Excellent written communication, including spelling and grammar; proven ability to communicate confidently, clearly, and concisely
9. Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
10. Current Clean “C” Class Driver’s Licence
11. National Police Clearance
