The purpose of this role is to design fashion ranges in conjunction with the CUE design team, according to the brand aesthetic and with a customer-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Garment Design & Review 

• Design sketches provided for review by Design Director, across categories with particular strength in dresses, tops and knitwear
• Re-colour and edit print artworks using PSD
• Research trends in print, colour and fashion and present back to Design Director brand-appropriate findings
• Work with pattern makers to fit and perfect styles ready to present in weekly design meetings
• Fit and perfect styles to hand over to Production department weekly
• Research, sourcing and developing accessories and trims
• Analysis of existing styles and present designs that can be re-fabricated to optimise patterns
• Awareness of overseas design and lifestyle trends as well as local design and retail directions
• Review fabrications and analysis of new fabrics when necessary

Special Projects 

• Manage and assist with any special projects as required by the Marketing Manager, Executive Management team or Design Director to complete in conjunction with another department

The Ideal Candidate

• Tertiary qualifications in Fashion Design or equivalent is essential
• Proven experience in garment design, with a focus on dresses, tops, and knitwear.
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite for print artwork editing and re-coloring.
• Strong trend awareness and ability to apply print, color, and fabric choices that align with the brand’s aesthetic.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including pattern makers and production.
• A passion for creativity and innovation, with the ability to challenge convention and bring fresh ideas to the table.
