Education & Engagement Manager – Australian Brandenburg Orchestra 

Passionate about music education and community engagement? Join Australia’s leading Baroque Orchestra! The Australian Brandenburg Orchestra is seeking an Education & Engagement Manager to develop and deliver inspiring programs that connect schools, educators, and communities with the magic of historically informed performance. As a key menber of the Artistic team, you’ll support musicians in delivering high-quality educational experiences, manage touring ensembles & coordinate resources. Ideal candidates will have experience in arts education, strong communication and organisational skills, and a commitment to child-safe practices. Evening and weekend availability required.

The role is designed as full-time, but we are open to discussing flexible working arrangements to accommodate the right candidate

 

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Artistic Planning & Management, you will:

  • Develop and implement high-quality education and community engagement programs.
  • Build strong relationships with schools, educators, and community groups.
  • Organise and manage touring ensembles for program delivery.
  • Coordinate resources, staffing, and logistics to ensure smooth program execution.
  • Support musicians, staff, and casual tutors in delivering educational content.
  • Ensure all programs align with child-safe policies and best practices in performing arts education.

 

About You

You are an experienced arts educator with a passion for music and community engagement. You have:

  • Qualifications and/or experience in arts education, music, or orchestral administration.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Experience working with children and knowledge of Child Safe principles.
  • IT proficiency, including MS Office & SharePoint, other programs include ArtsVision & Tessitura.
  • Availability for evening and weekend work as required.
