WAAPA is excited to offer an opportunity for a dynamic and adaptable individual to join our team as a Digital Content Coordinator. This role is perfect for someone passionate about the performing arts and skilled in digital content management and social media strategy. You will work closely with the Marketing Team to enhance WAAPA’s online presence and grow the WAAPA brand in the digital space.

The Role

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Digital Content Coordinator will play an important role in leading, developing, and maintaining the School’s online presence. You will ensure the integrity of data and provide accurate, consistent, relevant, and comprehensive information across all digital platforms. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this position requires a creative and analytical individual who can collaborate effectively with various teams to enhance WAAPA’s digital identity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Web CMS: The ability to practice fundamental web languages like HTML and Javascript
  • Content Development: Create, curate, and manage engaging content for WAAPA’s website and social media platforms, highlighting productions, events, and student achievements.
  • Social Media Strategy: Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns to increase visibility and engagement with our audience.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze website traffic and social media metrics, providing insights to improve our digital strategies.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with internal teams, students, and external partners to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all platforms.

 Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline OR equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of online marketing;
  • Demonstrate experience in developing and implementing an online communication plan in accordance with the business goals;
  • Demonstrated experience in the management and maintenance of a CMS website to ensure up-to-date, accurate and engaging content;
  • Knowledge of usability, accessibility, and current online web publishing standards; and
  • Experience of Search Engine Optimisation, CMS platforms, Google Analytics, Microsoft 365, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of social media content creation, focusing on delivering engaging and impactful campaigns.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing tasks both independently and as part of a team.

Remuneration:

This part-time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $92,087 to $99,353 pro rata per annum plus 17%  University superannuation contribution.
