- Permanent – Full time, 38 hours pw plus monthly RDO
- Salary: Band 7 – $102,953 – $114,924 pro rata + 11.5 % superannuation
- Located at Williamstown Town Hall site

Hobsons Bay City Council is seeking an inspiring leader to oversee our cultural venues unit. This role encompasses every aspect of venue management—planning, programming, presentation, utilisation, and operations.
About the Venues

Altona Theatre: A 246-seat proscenium arch theatre, perfect for performing arts and intimate events.

Williamstown Town Hall: A versatile venue with a 1000+ capacity, hosting live music, theatre, cultural and religious events, school functions, markets, gala nights, festivals, civic ceremonies, and community bookings.

What you need to succeed
- Extensive experience in venue or facility management, events, and production; advanced technical knowledge would be advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams to achieve exceptional outcomes.
- Knowledge of risk management and a commitment to ensuring a safe operating environment.
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial management, strategic planning, and asset management.
- Appreciation of the role local government plays in community engagement, arts, heritage, and facility management.
