Flying Fruit Fly Circus

Circus Trainers - Aerials & Acrobatics

Circus Trainers – Aerials & Acrobatics 30 hours p/w, 1 year contract Salary: $70,000 pro-rata

“Flying Fruit Fly Circus has an outstanding reputation in the circus community for nurturing highly skilled artists…they have established themselves as a top tier organisation for developing new talent” André Lachance, Senior Director of Casting, Cirque du Soleil

The Flying Fruit Fly Circus (FFFC) is Australia’s National Youth Circus, a member of the Arts8 arts training organisations, and a Cirque du Soleil NexGen talent development partner. We deliver a combined circus and academic program for young people aged 8-19 and create and tour dynamic circus shows for young and family audiences.

The company is proudly regional, based in the twin border cities of Albury-Wodonga.

We are seeking 3 circus trainers to fill positions in acrobatics and aerials. The trainers will join a highly professional team to help deliver a comprehensive circus training program from basic to advanced. You will be an experienced practitioner in circus arts or gymnastics, or someone seeking advancement in their professional coaching career, and passionate about your craft and working with young people.

These 30-hour positions report directly to the joint Heads of Training, Bec Neill and Ben Lewis, with start dates to be negotiated.

We would also like to hear from anyone meeting these criteria who is interested in short-term positions of between 4 – 20 weeks for guest artist contracts in late 2024 and 2025.

We provide flexible terms and can combine salaried hours with access to our award-winning space and equipment for your own skills development or artistic research. Accommodation may be negotiated subject to availability.

This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a regional pace of life and all that Albury-Wodonga has to offer while growing your network in Australia’s ever expanding circus industry.
