About Starlight Our mission is to brighten the lives of seriously ill children & their families, bringing them fun, joy, and laughter when they need it most… because happiness matters.

About the roleCaptain Starlight is a superhero from Planet Starlight who spreads joy, creativity, and laughter to children in hospitals, clinics, and remote communities across Australia.

As a Captain Starlight, you’ll make a real and lasting difference in the lives of children, families, and communities. This is not just a job—it’s a chance to live and work in one of Australia’s most unique and beautiful locations, surrounded by stunning landscapes, rich culture, and an incredible team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • You’ll be based at Alice Springs Hospital, where you will work directly with children, families, and staff, making a real difference to their healthcare experience.
  • Take part in Healthier Future Innovative (HFI) trips, where you’ll travel to remote communities across Australia, bringing cheer to kids in rural and isolated areas. These trips involve both road and small plane travel, allowing you to explore some of the most special and remote parts of the country.
  • You’ll spend time outdoors, connecting with local communities and embracing the land you’re on—an experience unlike any other!

Why You’ll Love It:

  • An Adventure Like No Other: Living and working in Alice Springs means embracing the adventure. Whether you’re exploring the vast outback, connecting with local communities, or being part of something larger than yourself, every day brings new experiences.
  • Relocation Support: We offer relocation assistance and a remote living allowance to help you settle into life in Alice Springs and make this incredible journey your reality.
  • Personal and Professional Growth: Access to exclusive performance workshops with industry professionals and a week of Learning and Development in another Starlight Express Room of your choice. You’ll continue to grow as an artist while making a huge impact.
  • Work-Life Balance: Enjoy 8 weeks of paid annual leave pro-rata to recharge and explore. Plus, we offer flexibility around other performance commitments so you can maintain a work-life balance.

What We’re Looking For:
