Assistant Producer/Marketing
Working with the Senior Producers, the Assistant Producer/Marketing works to deliver Pace Live’s touring shows and works across a broad range of areas within its productions.
Requirements:
- Experience producing theater, shows, events and tours. The ideal candidate will have worked in theater, performing arts, company management or arts administration
- A genuine passion for the performing arts, a love of musical theater, dance or shows, and an understanding of the US theater touring industry
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects involving multiple deadlines, budgets and stakeholders
- An understanding of the marketing, publicity and advertising requirements of shows and events
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven level of integrity and discretion
- Experience with contract management, production advancing, venue deadlines
- An understanding and experience with ticketing systems, seating maps and the on sale process
- Experience and knowledge of tour and show budgeting and budget management
- Experience with theater and show accounts, coding and invoicing
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to work independently
- Proven high standards of written and oral communication
- Experience in a ticketing and theatrical arena
- Experience in travel, touring or previous experience working in the US with addition to UK, Aus or NZ preferred (but not necessary)
- Experience across Google suite, or similar in Word, Excel and proficient computer skills and an understanding of how to use online systems and the ability to learn quickly
- Experience using online communication platforms such as Slack, Monday.com or similar
General Responsibilities:
- Venue liaising, booking, communication and advance preparation
- Venue marketing liaising, coordination and delivery
- Marketing and advertising planning, research, delivery and campaign management
- Assistance with show ticketing, seating maps, ticketing splits and on sale coordination and delivery
- Account coding and reporting assistance
- Contract negotiation, review and facilitation across multiple venues and tours
- Venue marketing liaising, coordination and delivery
- Marketing and advertising planning, research, delivery and campaign management
- Tour, logistics and preparation of rental venue advance information pertaining to ticketing, marketing and front of house
- Tour routing, logistics and venue research
- Coordination and delivery of local media and press across tour regions
- Online listings and digital marketing facilitation
- Social media management assistance ensuring on time delivery and messaging
Skills:
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to work independently
- Proven high standards of written and oral communication
- Proven level of integrity and discretion
- Proven ability to problem solve and prioritize required tasks
- Experience in a ticketing and theatrical arena
- Experience across touring shows
- Experience in travel, touring or previous experience working in the US with addition to UK, Aus or NZ preferred (but not necessary)
- Experience across Google suite, or similar in Word, Excel and proficient computer skills and an understanding of how to use online systems and the ability to learn quickly
- Experience using online communication platforms such as Slack, Monday.com or similar
- Experience working with a wide range of personalities in a daily changing environment
Knowledge:
- Understanding how a performing arts tour functions on a day-to-day basis.
- Demonstrated interest in performing arts events, theater, dance.
- An interest and sensitivity of people and personalities in the arts space.
Practicals:
- Own computer, strong wifi, phone, work from home space
- The ability to travel to the company office and headquarters on the Gold Coast on a monthly basis where required for 2-3 days at a time.
- Weekend work and the ability to be easily contactable working evenings and weekends is required.
- Flexibility across working hours is essential.
Position Notes:
This full-time, hybrid role is ideal for someone seeking an initial contract position with the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate. The position requires a commitment to regular office hours, with flexibility to accommodate after-hours work as the company works internationally. Regular meetings will be required, and the candidate should be available to collaborate closely with team members on-site with regular travel provided by the company for those not located in South East Queensland.
Salary $70,000 – 73,000 p.a. based on experience, plus super, plus travel and allowances where required.
