We are seeking an Assistant Producer to join our dedicated Programming team, supporting a team of producers in the administration, support and delivery of Queensland Theatre productions by providing efficient, timely and effective administrative support and supporting artists to make their work.,

This role is suited to someone who is highly motivated, is able to manage the requirements of a diverse operational environment and who will enjoy being involved in theatre making and the arts.

Role snapshot

The Assistant Producer is responsible for providing administrative support to the Programming team and throughout the creative/production process to ensure our programming and creative teams are well supported through provision of timely information and liaison.  While providing general administrative and logistic support to the Producers in the Programming team, this position also plays a key role in supporting the delivery of the Queensland Premier’s Drama Award, our Artist Development programs and has specific responsibilities across our Season program (for example APRA licensing).

Who we are looking for – selection criteria

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:-

  • At least three years’ experience in an administrative or assistant producing role, preferably with experience in arts administration.
  • Demonstrated strong administrative skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Well-developed communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate information to relevant internal and external stakeholders in a variety of forms.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player as well as independently.

You will be highly motivated, have a positive attitude and be self-directed with an ability to collaborate in a busy environment to achieve results.
