As a newly formed entity, Experience Gold Coast is focused on supercharging tourism, events, arts & culture, and education outcomes for the City of Gold Coast.  
HOTA (Home of the Arts) is seeking an experienced and visionary Commercial Program Lead to drive our annual program of commercially successful entertainment and contemporary cultural events.
This senior artistic leadership role is pivotal in curating HOTA’s commercial entertainment landscape, ensuring a dynamic, high-quality, and financially sustainable program.
About the Role
Lead with heart. Program with purpose.HOTA is searching for a passionate and dynamic Arts & Access Program Lead to curate bold, inclusive, and inspiring cultural experiences that reflect and celebrate our community.
In this senior creative role, you’ll shape the artistic direction of our subsidised programs — from headline festivals like BLEACH* and Kids Take Over, to innovative new works across cinema, literature, visual arts, and more. You’ll be the connector between creativity and community, overseeing the full lifecycle of events and ensuring they are accessible, relevant, and high-quality.
Working with producing teams and alongside marketing, partnerships, and production, you’ll lead everything from project planning and budgeting to negotiations, business cases, and stakeholder engagement.
In this role, you’ll:

Deliver exceptional programs that drive inclusion, community connection, and creative impact

Lead artistic planning, content selection, and program delivery across HOTA’s precinct

Balance vision and viability — developing business cases, managing budgets, and overseeing outcomes

Build strong relationships with artists, companies, and cultural partners locally and globally

Identify new opportunities through trends, audience insights, and cultural movements

Champion team performance, foster cross-functional collaboration, and mentor emerging talent
