Launched on Tuesday, the 2019 Melbourne International Arts Festival is the fourth and final program under the stewardship of Artistic Director Jonathan Holloway, and is notable for its focus on contemporary dance.

Alongside leading international choreographers Hofesh Shechter and Yang Liping, Holloway has programmed encore seasons of works by three of Melbourne’s leading dance artists, Lucy Guerin, Jo Lloyd and Stephanie Lake, productions which were previously staged in short seasons at Dance Massive or Melbourne Fringe.
