Join two zany scientists as they take students on a wild ride where every movement becomes music.
In The Sonicrats’ ‘workshop gone rogue’, presenters Alon and Ciaran journey through the history of music, bringing together ancient acoustic sounds with the latest breakthrough technologies. This interactive show is perfect for children who love getting hands-on with science, sound art and storytelling. With the help of the amazing ‘AirSticks’ – a piece of technology that senses movement to generate sound and music – they’ll help shape the story by shaking their bodies and making tunes together.
Alon and Ciaran are real-life music technology researchers from Monash University’s SensiLab who also compose music and create new instruments.
