Penrith City Libraries is proud to launch the first Write Out West: Western Sydney Libraries and Literature Festival in partnership with Camden Council Library Service, Fairfield City Open Libraries and Hawkesbury Library Service. 
With over 30 events across nine days in four LGAs, we invite you to celebrate libraries and literature in the west with us with author events, panel discussions and workshops for all ages, presented by professional authors, writing teachers, poets and illustrators. Speakers include Chris Hammer, Judy Nunn, Candice Fox, Catherine Jinks, Hayley Scrivenor, James Bradley, Jacqueline Harvey, Kate Forsyth, Cheryl Orsini, Ross Dobson, Felicity Castagna, Will Kostakis, and many more! Attend a poetry slam hosted by DEFNE, writing workshops taught by Felicity Castagna and Kate Forsyth, panel discussions on topics such as writing history, crime, exploring sydney’s underbelly, local contemporary YA and the history of fairy tales.
 
Kids can hear from authors Lee Constable, Cheryl Orsini, Debra Tidball and Jacqueline Harvey, attend the Trinket the Robot theatre performance and Page to Stage and Puppetry of Paper Workshops.
