Play and learn in our Under 5s Art Classes! Join us at the beautiful Bundoora Homestead Art Centre for Term Two classes. These weekly sessions offer children an opportunity to discover and explore art materials, processes and ideas in a playful, relaxed and supportive environment.
These will be short, skills-based sessions for our youngest artists. Each week we will be inspired to create original artworks based on a book that’s read, a song that’s sung, or game that’s played. It’s also about having fun – we may even go outside if the weather is nice!
Our young artists will work with their carers to create their works and they’ll be able to take these home each week.
All materials provided. Bookings are essential.
About the Facilitator
Andrew Lang has worked in primary school education for over twenty years, and the last ten have been in the art room. Andrew has hosted and coordinated numerous multi-disciplinary arts festivals within school settings, as well as in the public sphere. Andrew started Primary Colours Art School in 2023 which provides after school classes for kids, short courses for adults, and hosts art themed parties on the weekends. Andrew is passionate about nurturing a love of creativity through play and collaboration.

Age
The recommended age for kids attending our classes is between 3-5 years old. A parent or carer must stay and supervise during the sessions.
Please note there is a limit of one accompanying adult per child in the room. Other adults are welcome to wait in the café or galleries during the session!
Cost
$10 per class + booking fee
$90 Season ticket + booking fee
*Please note: Season ticket includes all nine classes. No refunds (partial or full) are available for season tickets, all sales are final.

Join us in the Café!
Our Café is open, offering a variety of light refreshments including pastries, soup, scones, cakes and coffee. It is open from 11am-3pm and the perfect place to grab a bite after your class.
Other information:
Children are welcome to stay on after class and continue their own craft projects. While you’re here, feel free to explore the Bundoora Homestead exhibitions, gardens and cafe.
