Betty Taylor by Amity Thiele.
Kingston Arts are embarking on an exciting initiative to empower young people in our community to cultivate the next groundbreaking band. Shapes! is tailored to 13 to 17 year-olds who want to experience live music in a local and safe environment. There will be live gigs throughout the year and music workshops.
The second instalment of our music series Shapes! features Betty Taylor and Gnome. Betty Taylor is one of Australia’s rising indie sensations, blending heartfelt lyrics, dreamy harmonies and powerful live presence. They recently performed at Austin’s SXSW and have supported Beddy Rays, Matt Corby and Boy & Bear! Support is Frankston band ‘Gnome’ who are making a name for themselves selling out shows in their hometown and Melbourne.
For the parents
These are drug, alcohol and vape free events aimed at under 18s who are unable to experience the magic of live music due to licensing restraints. If you would like to come along to the event, we will be opening our workshop space downstairs with one of our Artist in Residence to have some fun with clay! No need to bring anything, this will be a relaxed environment to chat with other parents whilst also being in close proximity to your children. Registrations essential.
