How do you identify someone who isn’t coping well? How should you approach them?
This two hour workshop introduces common mental health problems and how they may show up in a performing arts environment – perfect for those seeking to learn basic techniques to enable supportive conversations at work. This session, we’re specifically exploring common scenarios you may encounter while helping others behind the scenes.
Facilitated by Kathy Lepan-Walker, a trained theatre performer, MEAA equity delegate and a highly empathetic facilitator. She has studied Mental Health at Swinburne University and is also passionate about increasing awareness of neurodiversity and hidden disabilities.
This workshop is part of the Arts Wellbeing Collective’s training program, designed specifically to tackle mental health challenges in the arts.
