MAPh is thrilled to present our inaugural symposium PHOTOREAL in parallel with the Bowness Photography Prize 2024.
PHOTOREAL: Uncomfortable truths is a day of thought-provoking talks, workshops and pop-ups exploring the potency and purpose of contemporary photography.
With an opening address from our senior curator Angela Connor, this program will present two panel discussions featuring photographers, artists, academics and media professionals, two hands-on workshops, a short film pop-up and curatorial insights on the Bowness Photography Prize from MAPh Director Anouska Phizacklea.
Enjoy light refreshments at the museum, grab lunch at the cafe or bring a picnic to enjoy in the gardens.
