3D Youth Creative Writing on the Future of Wilderness
Parallel Wilds has continued momentum in 2024, creating 15 new 3D projects on the future of wilderness, expressing powerful self-identity in the natural world. Young people work with technology to create virtual stories on native species: VR headsets to 360 camera.
In 2024, we won the Group Category of the UK Creative Freedom Award with Young Somerset and toured with Supanova Comic Con & Gaming. In 2023, we had two residencies in North East Victoria, one with Creative Victoria, and one with Regional Arts Victoria.
For 2025, we have a new partnership with the Australian Wildlife Conservancy, as well as Victorian Fisheries, and North East Catchment Management Authority. We have created a new Gamify workshop, where youth create a virtual story as an interactive game.
We have 1-day, 2-day and 3-day workshop formats available for regional schools and councils for 2025. Parallel Wilds is perfect for Years 3-10, or youth aged 10-16. Workshops are costed at $1,000 per day inclusive of travel and administration and ongoing webhosting.
