National Treasure
is an investigation of tangled human relationships with fish and the ocean; paradigms that across time and cultures have served as a source of spiritual, cultural, corporeal, and economic nourishment.

Led by artist Kirsty Kross in the guise of her performative avatar, the Coral Trout, a parade of chimeric accomplices will embark on a ritualistic march to the sea, culminating in a communal treasure hunt (with bystanders invited and absorbed along the way).

Kirsty Kross is an eco-feminist Australian artist currently based in Oslo, Norway whose practice spans performance, music, happenings and multimedia installation, frequently probing the clash of the climate crisis and attention economy. She has exhibited/performed at the Tate Modern, National Museum of Norway, Munch Museum, Gabrovo Biennial in Bulgaria and the Swedish Artist’s Association in Stockholm. Whilst living in Australia she co-created the music/performance group, Team Plastique, who performed at Glastonbury Festival, the Big Day Out, and Feast Festival.
