James Tylor: Turrangka…in the shadows surveys a decade of work by artist James Tylor examining histories of colonisation and their profound impact on Indigenous cultures. It brings together the most comprehensive selection of his unique daguerreotypes, expansive digital photographic series, and hand-made Kaurna cultural objects.
Also on display is New Wave 25 showcasing the works of VCE and VCE VET art, visual art, media arts, fashion, design and technology students within the Mornington Peninsula Shire. The exhibition includes paintings, drawings, photography, ceramics and installation.
Nuno’s Southern Hospitality will be serving up great coffee, sandwiches and tasty comfort food with a hometown Texas flair Thursday-Sunday during the exhibition.
The gallery store stocks Numbulwar Numburindi Arts handwoven baskets and an extensive range of ceramics from local Mornington Peninsula ceramicists including Vicki Randell, Jupiter Ceramics, Sandi Faulkner and Lynne Bechervaise.
