Join Darebin Arts for a special event spotlighting Darebin Women in Art, as part of
our 2025 International Women’s Day celebrations!

The Molly Hadfield Social Justice Oration is a FREE annual community event,
established in tribute to local trailblazer Molly Hadfield OAM, a tireless campaigner
for the rights of women. Esteemed Darebin artists Zena Cumpston, Sheena
Mathieson, and Nadine Christensen will each share insights from their work and
careers, reflecting on the ways in which social justice (or injustice) have shaped their
artistic practice.

The evening will be MCd by Valli Morphett, Manager of Creative Culture and
Economic Development at the City of Darebin. Local choir Northern Voices will
appear in a special guest performance.

Everyone is welcome at this inspiring celebration of women’s artistic and social
contributions to our community.

The event is FREE to attend but bookings are essential. All ages are welcome.
