This exhibition presents a selection of prints from the Colin Holden Collection by women artists who were central to the development of Australian printmaking in the first half of the twentieth century. Several of these artists travelled and studied abroad, returning to Australia with first-hand experiences of European modernism and new approaches to printmaking that resonated locally. The exhibition includes impressions from their overseas travels, as well as images of Australian flora and fauna, industry and labour, cityscapes and landscapes.
