This online event is an interactive professional development workshop for classroom music educators, illustrating how to incorporate Australian music in classroom music teaching plans.
Facilitated by Dr Joanna Drimatis (Music Education Specialist, Australian Music Centre), the workshop will introduce and demonstrate teaching activities from the music education resource Let’s Sing!: New Australian Choral Music Resources for the Classroom. The workshop will also spotlight guest appearances by Australian composers Joseph Twist, Dan Walker and Alice Chance, whose music feature in the resource.
Participation in this workshop will contribute 1 hour and 30 minutes of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Accredited PD in the priority area of Delivery and Assessment of NSW Curriculum/EYLF addressing Standard Descriptor 2.1.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
Participants may supply their NESA or teaching number upon registration (optional).
